How Online Video is Taking over the Internet

Just a few decades ago none of us had access to the amount of video streaming websites available today, even basic videos were out of most people's reach but now they fit into the palms of our hands.

Some report says that Internet usage will drastically rise in the next four years. In 2017 this statistic will be more than double.

With popular video websites like YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu where commercials are limited, aired on your time, and viewed from wherever you and your device are, it isn’t a shock that this popular trend is spreading all over the world.

Video is increasingly taking over content on Facebook and Twitter, reflected by the proliferation of business page videos. We know one of the 21st century’s largest online video formats – video-on-demand (VoD). VoD has hugely grown in popularity over the past five years. By 2020, estimates believe that there will be more than 200 million global VoD households, with Netflix, YouTube, Hulu leading the way in order of market share.

So, this year you're going to listen to the little voice in your head telling you to take the plunge, to ride the video streaming wave.
